In the “How to enjoy being you” workbook, there is a question that has stumped me. In week 4 there is a part where the question is to identify characteristics about yourself that are both positive and negative. I was able to do this exercise with positive attributes but I could not understand how to do this with the negative ones.
Example: Characteristics of being shy:
- How can I enjoy and appreciate this characteristic?
- How does this characteristic help me be authentically myself?
- How can this trait help me get what I most desire in life?
I do not see how this or any negative trait can do any of these things. Please give me more insight to this process! Thanks!
