I love myself, I hate myself – sticky thoughts

I have recently noticed that something my brain does is tack on thoughts automatically.

For instance, I’m working on improving my self-love and there are genuine moments where I think, “I love myself” and I feel good and it’s great. But my brain IMMEDIATELY tacks on “I hate myself”.

It’s so automatic that I don’t even catch it before it happens. It doesn’t even allow me to enjoy the good thought for a second.

How would I go about dismantling a thought that is so automatic?
