I’m doing a TDL on my drinking habits and thinking if I say I don’t want a drink in a social situation or decide not to drink at all ‘people won’t like me’

So I know my T but struggling with my C as I’m
Thinking about a hypothetical future scenario so it’s not factual or past tense?
