Resist vs. Allow


I apologize for asking a question that you may have been asked a lot but I don’t understand how resisting emotion is different from allowing emotion when it comes to overeating.
I watched the video you refer to under Assets – Stop Overdrinking – How to Allow An Urge and I don’t get the concept.

If I created myself a protocol of intermittent fasting till noon and in the morning I have an urge to eat, it seems to me that I both allow and resist the urge to eat if I say, ‘I am sticking to my protocol no matter what.’

Perhaps you can clarify?
