I had a situation at work last week where I thought my coworker was being rude to me. I know it’s my thoughts, but how do we change our thoughts but also not let people treat us that way? There’s a model of the situation: C- Bonnie says “I don’t know Christy. I haven’t really been paying attention because I’ve been getting dumped on. T- Wow, she’s rude! F- Anger A- Go back to desk and flume, avoid her R – ? It felt like she yelled at me. I get frustrated with her because it seems like when I make a mistake she is quick to point it out, but when I talk to her about a mistake she’s made, then she just gets defensive. I know my thoughts need to change, but what about not allowing others to speak to us with rudeness? Thanks!
