I joined SCS with a goal of riding my horse more and competing a little. I want to do this because it makes me feel good physically and emotionally, and I have a sense of accomplishment and excitement when I compete. The problem is that I keep talking myself out of practicing because I’m too tired, it seems to hard, or I’m just not interested in the activity. This has me thinking that perhaps I’m not focusing on the right goal. Maybe I need to move on from horses and find something else to do. How can I know that my goal is what I really want?
